Mission Statement

Hakomi Ireland is a member of the World wide Hakomi Education Network (HEN).

We are a global community dedicated to embodying, teaching and sharing the principles and practices of Hakomi to cultivate wisdom, compassion and peace and a sense of connection in the world.

Hakomi Ireland presents Hakomi which is a body centred psychotherapeutic practice. Hakomi is  experiential, one’s own organisation of experience, habits, belief’s all are self studied as part of Hakomi.

With Hakomi, one learns to contact and connect with oneself via a mindfulness based loving presence, present based method.

Joannes is a Psychotherapist, trained at the University of Limerick and graduated with a Masters Degree (Hon.) in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy. She also completed her training in Hakomi body centred psychotherapy. Previous qualifications included ; Registered general Nurse ;registered Midwife and registered Shiatsu/Accupressure therapist. Joannes focuses her work now in a wholistic approach, working with the three dimensions of the human being; body, mind and spirit. She also facilitates group work for well-being and self-care privately and through Health Services.

Joannes is a fully accredited member of Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and the European Association of Counselling.

She has completed training in the Hakomi Method of Mindfulness-based Assisted Self-Discovery with the Hakomi Education Network based in Ireland, Mexico and Boulder USA. For further information see www.tipperarynorththerapy.com”
